MACH Energy announces support for real time data monitoring

February 1, 2011

MACH Energy announces the general availability of real time data monitoring and reporting for all energy sources utilized by commercial office buildings. This support for continuous, intraday data delivery and display, combined with MACH's historical and predicitive consumption baselining, provides building operators with the ability to track energy usage during the course of the day. Intraday, or real time, data monitoring has been in use for the past several months with electric customers in the midwest and northeast and with steam customers in New York City.

Steam customers in Manhattan have been using the continuous monitoring of steam meters combined with the predicitive baselining provided by MACH's Expected Operating Envelope analytics to better manage steam demand during the critical morning peak steam consumption period between 6 and 11 AM. Several buildings have seen significant reductions in steam demand costs as a result of being able to predict steam consumption for up to 5 days in advance based on forecast weather conditions and then manage their use of steam by monitoring actual usage against historical baselines.
